ARNOLD, Francis  (fl 1777-1803) British diesinker, Birmingham.
Forrer (6:398) includes a list of Birmingham diesinkers published in 1780 with Francis
Arnold at 4 Little Charles Street. According to Breen, Arnold was one of three possible
engravers of the American Colonial coins (and Washington token) listed below; the other
possibilities were Roger Dixon or William Mainwaring. All were struck by William Lutwyche
            (q.v.), also of Birmingham.
