BRUCE-JOY,  Albert   (1842-1924) Irish-British-American sculptor.
            Name variation Joy, Albert Bruce.
            Born Dublin, Ireland, 1842. Sculpted four generations of British
            royal family and one source states 150 medallions before coming
            to America 1921 at age 79. He modeled at lest five medals of
            American interest before 1921. His model of explorer and author
            Frits Vilhelm Holm Medal (1922-017 below) was noted as "truly
            international, as the subject is Danish, his expedition Chinese,
            the sculptor Irish-British, the medallist [Medallic Art Company
            Weil brothers] French and his place of business American."
            Died in America, 22 July 1924.
