BURR, Montgomery  (fl 1859-93) designer, engraver.
            Listed in directories as a silversmith (1861-1875).
            Proprietor, along with Elias C. Witsil in Philadelphia
            Pennsylvania firm of Burr & Witsil (q.v.), a firm active
            producing American centennial medals, 1876, in which
            Burr may have been the major engraver.
