CAREY, Abraham Graham  ( ) designer, calligrapher.
          Harvard University graduate 1914. He gave lectures on
          art at Harvard's Fogg Art Museum in 1936, 1938 and 1939.
          He was joint author with John Howard Benson (q.v.) on
          The Elements of Lettering; the two were collaborators on
          the U.S. Providence Rhode Island Commem half dollar.
