CERACCHI, Giuseppe  (1751-1802) Italian sculptor.
          Full name: Giuseppe Joseph Ceracchi. Variant:
          Ceracci. Born Corsica, Italy, July 1751.
          Trip to England (1776-79), two trips to America
          (c1790 and 1793) when he made busts of Washington,
          Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, Hamilton, and Daivd Rittenhouse.
          Marble bust of Rittenhouse in collection of American
          Philosophical Society, Philadelphia.
          Ceracchi executed in Paris 30 January 1802 for his
          conspiracy against Napoleon.
