COLETTI, Joseph Arthur  (1898-1973) sculptor, medalist.
          Born San Donato, Italy, 5 November 1898.  Came to
          America 1901. Signed models JAC monogram. Demanded
          initials be punched on edge of all medals made before his
          death, not so after his death. This to ascertain those medals
          issued during his lifetime.

          His autobiography and list of his sculptural work published
          by Macmillian in 1968 [medals listed but each side numbered
          as a separate work in contrast to numismatic custom].

          Fellow: National Sculpture Society.
          Died Boston, Massachusetts, 5 May 1973.
