CONNER, Jerome Stanley  (1875-1943) Irish-American sculptor [and
          onetime prize fighter].

          Name very often misspelled Connor.
          Born Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland, 12 October 1875.
          Came to America1889 at age 14. Educated in Boston.
          Established a studio in Washington DC by 1910 for
          creating monumental sculpture.Also worked in Philadelphia
          and New York. Retuned to Ireland in 1925.

          Died Dublin, Ireland, 1943.
