COX, Kenyon  (1856-1919) painter, sculptor, illustrator.
            Wrongly attributed as the artist for the U.S. Columbian
            Isabella Commemorative quarter dollar 1893 (ultimately
            engraved by U.S. Mint engraver Charles Barber, q.v.).
            Submitted a design for the reverse of the 1906 Fraklin
            Bicentennial Medal which influenced Augustus Saint-
            Gaudens design, modeled by Louis Saint-Gaudens.
            Exhibited a painting of Augustus Saint-Gaudens at
            National Academy of Design (1907 winter show) in
            1907 item 202, and Chicago Art Institute (1909) item
            63; illustrated N39 {2008} Moran, Striking Change,
            color plate 17.
