CRAWFORD, Thomas  (1813-1857) sculptor.
Born New York City, 22 March 1813.
Died London, England, 10 October 1857.
His most famous statue is Armed Freedom mounted on top
of the United States Capitol dome. A plaster model was placed
on public view in Capitol Visitors Center, opened 2008.
