CRESSON, Margaret French  (1889-1973) sculptor.
          Married name: Mrs. William Penn Cresson.
          Born Concord, Massachusetts, 3 August 1889.
          Daughter of sculptor Daniel Chester French. She
          made busts of both her parents and a relief of her
          father (made into a medal, see below). She inherited
          "Chesterwood" family home, and donated it as museum
          to National Trust for Historic Preservation, 1969.
          Died Stockbridge, Massachusetts, 1 October 1973.
          Wrote on art and war memorials.
          Signed model with MFC initials.
          Fellow: National Sculpture Society.
