DAVID, Pierre Jean  (1788-1856) French sculptor, medalist.
          Also called David d’Angers.
          Born Angers, France, 12 March 1788.
          Specialized in large uniface portrait medallions (which
          he cast, or supervised by others, as Louis Richard).
          Signed his work DAVID, often in scrip.
          Died Paris, 6 January 1856.
