De PEDERY-HUNT, Dora  (1913- 2008) Hungarian-Canadian sculptor, medalist.
           Born Budapest, Hungary, 16 November 1913.
           
           Immigrated to Canada from West Germany in 1948.
           She created a mature bust of Queen Elizabeth for use on
           coins of the Ausralia, Canada and British Empire countries.
           She also created a series of commemorative coins for
           Australia (15, 25, 50 and 100 dollar) [KM 240-241].
           Items below struck in or of American topical interest.
           Awarded American Numismatic Association’s Award for
            Excellence in Medallic Sculpture (formerly called Medallist     
            of the Year), 1992, the 24th such recipient of this award.

           Died 2008.
