DICKINSON, Robert Latou  (1861-1950) gynecologist, designer.
          Born Jersey City, New Jersey, 21 February 1861.
          Longtime associate with sculptor Abraham Belskie (q.v.),
          the pair created The Birth Atlas (1939) illustrating the fetus
          and birth of infant with models by Belskie, anatomically
          correct, exhibited at 1939 World’s Fair. The pair also created
          three-dimensional models for medical students in color and in
          materials with authentic textural feel.
          Died New York City, 30 November 1950.
          Signed design RLD initials.
