DUNNELL, William N.  (active 1845-58) engraver, New York.
          Name variant: William N. Dunnel.
          In partnership Baldwin & Dunnel with Enos B. Baldwin
          (1847-48). He exhibited examples of steel and wood
          engravings at American Institute (1849); not listed in
          city directories thereafter. Gorce and Wallace quote
          Stauffer that he "contracted bad habits & disappeared,"
          this may have been yellow fever and reason for his one
          and only medal.
