DUPUIS, Daniel  (1849-1899) French engraver, medalist, sculptor.
           Full name: Jean Baptiste Daniel Dupuis.
           Born Blois, France, 15 February 1849.
           Benezit states primarily a medallist, but also noted for his
           sculptures, including Sampson Breaking His Bounds and
           Cradel Song. Commissioned for at least two American medals.
           Died Paris, killed in his sleep by mentally deranged wife, 1899.
