EDLER, Emil  (fl 1850-1860s) engraver, New York City.
           Rulau states he signed dies EDLER FEC and that
           Edgar Adams missread this name as Idler. Rulau also lists
           engraver named Elder, but this misspelling is undoubtedly
           his copy reading error for this engraver.
