ELWELL, Francis Edwin  (1858-1922) sculptor.
          Born Hubbardville, Concord, Massachusetts, 15 June 1858.
          He was adopted son of author Louisa May Alcott.
          Worked as assistant to Daniel Chester French (q.v.).
          Died Darien, Connecticut 1922.
