Born Winona, Minnesota, 4 November 1876.

His bust of Theodore Roosevelt as vice president in
           United States Capitol.

Monroe Doctrine (by Chester Beach), Huguenot-Walloon (by
George Morgan), Stone Mountain (by Gutzon Borglum), and
Lexington-Concord (by D.C. French). After he left the
Commission he and his wife jointly created the 1926 Oregon-Trail
           Commemorative half dollar.
