GANIERE, George Etienne  (1865-1935) sculptor.
          Born Chicago, Illinois, 26 April 1865.

          Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, later became an instructor and head of the sculpture department.  Also                     taught at John B. Stetson University in Deland, Florida and Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. 

          Member: Chicago Art Society and National Sculpture Society.
          Official sculptor for the State of Florida and the Century of Progress Expo in Chicago.
          Died Hendersonville, North Carolina, 1935.
