GILLESPIE, George Lewis  (1841-1913) Army general.
          Born Kingston, Tennessee, 7 October 1841.
          Graduate Military Academy, West Point, 1862. Late in
          military career assigned Army War College, Washington
          DC, where he redesigned the Medal of Honor.
          Died Washington, DC, 27 September 1913.
