GLAUBRECHT, George J.  (active 1852-70) Early American
          engraver, diesinker, New York City.
Partner with George W. May (q.v.) in May & Glaubrecht
(1852-60). He cut dies for Scovill beginning in 1863.
May have used monogram GG (which appear on the
Loveday storecard and this is the only evidence to attribute
this piece to him); Rulau states he also used G.GL.
signature. Pete Smith says some of his dies are punch
linked to Charles D. Horter (q.v.).
