GOADSBY, Thomas  (active 1786-89) Colonial American contract
          coiner of New Jersey Coppers.  One of three British émigrés
            who established Rahway Mills Mint (with aid ofGeneral
            Matthias Ogden). The other two were Albion Cox and
            Walter Mould, both engravers. Their operation was troubled
            with problems, but they did issue over sixty varieties of New
            Jersey copper coins at various mints.
