GRADASSO, Lois Maresca  (1935- ) sculptor.
          Staff sculptor, Medallic Art Company.
            
          Born New Haven Connecticut, 18 September 1935 .
          Trained: University of New Haven in sculpture and
          watercolors; attended Parsons School of Design
          briefly; then returned to college as an adult 1976,
          graduating University of New Haven 1980.

          Hired by Medallic Art Company on graduation 1980,
          first in shipping, then art department, among three other
          artists there. Normally modeled four sides in five
          days (one job for National Square Dance organization
          was designed, modeled, cast and placed in production
          in 2½  days).

          After MACO closed Danbury factory she prepared models
          for prior president’s  new business, Protocal Group, which
          continued for 5 years; established her own studio, LMG in
          1995. 

          Liked to model portraits, disliked buildings.
