HARRIS, N. Neil  (1940- ) sculptor, medalist, illustrator, editor, author.
          Born Lafayette, Indiana, 9 June 1940.
          Medical, scientific illustrator Purdue University Veterinary
          School (1963-74). Named 13th editor of The Numismatist,
          American Numismatic Association, January 1974, resigned
          30 June 1988. Designed, modeled and wrote the catalog
          and history of the ANA's convention medals.

          Served as editor of Robert Julian's Medals of the United
          States Mint, The First Century 1792-1891 (1977) and the
          catalog of the F.I.D.E.M. XXI Congress held in Colorado
          Springs, Colorado 11-15 September 1987.
