HARTMANN, Adolph A.  (1817-1887) German-American diesinker, Waterbury.
          Born Berlin Germany, April 1817. Came to America prior
          1857. Listed in New York City directories 1857-58; in
          Waterbury directories 1882-87; last 2 years at Scovill.
          Two diesinkers by this name, this is the father.
          Death a suicide Waterbury, Connecticut, 7 July 1887 (at
          Scovill plant he drank cynide used for metal cleaning).
