HELLER, Florent Antoine  (1839-1904) Alsace-American medalist,
          silversmith, cameo cutter, designer, sculptor, painter.
          Name variants: Florentin, Florence.
          Born Saverne, Alsace, 1839.
          Receivecd schlorship 1864, studied with Gerome, Paris.
          Wounded in Franco-Prussian War
          Came to America prior to 1873; worked for both Gorham
          and Tiffany & Co. Designed three flatware patterns for
          Gorham (Fonainebleau, Versailles, Mythologique).
          Returned to Paris (ca 1896); won silver medal Paris 1900.
          Died Paris, 23 November 1904.
