          Maiden name Janet Suslak.
          Born Brooklyn, New York, 3 March 1932.
          Educated: Hunter College BA, New School for Social
          Research, graduate work.
          Trained with:  Robert Mothewell, Geccorio Prestopino,     
          Richard Pousegge d’Art, Doug Kingman.
          Works in abstract style influenced by nature.
          Signs medals on reverse JI or name in full.
          Awarded: C.A. Brown Medallic Art Award, 2001.
