KERSHAW, James M. (active 1854-59) electrotyper, hand engraver, Saint Louis.
           Artist's name may be spelled "Kenshaw" (and according
           to Joseph Levine, signed the Grant Medal below thusly),
           however he spelled his son's name Kershaw on a medal
           he engraved in his honor.
