LEDERMAN, Marie Jean  (1935- ) sculptor, educator.
          Born Brooklyn, New York, 28 December 1935.
          Educated; New York University BS, MA;    
          Brooklyn College PhD in Humanities’
          Professor Emeritus of English Baruch College,
          City University of New York.

          Training in Art: Brooklyn Art School, studied with
          Isaac Soyer; Cornell University School of Architecture
          And Fine Arts; Art Students League, studied with
          Nathaniel Kaz; workshops with Eugene Daub, and
          Mashiko (qq.v), Works in semi abstract, mixed media.

          Signs works: MJL.

            Member: American Medallic Sculpture Association, 1997.
            Member: National Association of Women Artists, 2003.
            Member: Medallic Arts Society of Canada, 2002
          Awarded Grumbacher Award for Sculpture, 1995.
