MERRITT, Anna Lea Massey  (1844-1930) designer, painter.
          Married name: Mrs Henry Merritt.
          Born Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1844.
          She married her onetime art instructor and they lived
          in Europe with frequent return visits to Philadelphia.
          Died London, 1930.

          She used a MAL monogram for her paintings but signed her
          one medal with last name MERRITT.
