NATHAN, Philip  (1941- ) British sculptor, coin sculptor, medalist.
         Born Farncombe, England, 20 August 1941.
         Worked British Royal Mint, 1965-1968.
         Came to America 1968 and worked in-house at Franklin
         Mint for five years. Returned to England 1973.
         Noted for the United Nations 25th Anniversay Medal by
         Nathan and Barry Standon).

         Signed models: PN initials or last name NATHAN.
         Fellow: Royal Society of British Sculptors.
         Fellow: Society of Numismatic Artists and Designers.
         Member: British Art Medal Society.
         Member: American Medallic Sculpture Association.
         Awarded: Royal Academy Schools Silver Medal.
         Awarded American Numismatic Association’s Award for
         Excellence in Medallic Sculpture (formerly called Medallist
         of the Year), 1985, the 18th such recipient of this award.
