PETIT, Louis Michel  (1791-1844) French engraver, sculptor, medalist.
          Born Paris 29 August 1791.
          Benezit states he was member of advisory committee
          to the Paris Mint. But engraved a large number of Durant
          Series (and a few collegiate medals).
          Died Paris 19 July 1844.
