PINGO, Lewis  (1743-1830) British engraver, diesinker.
          Born London, 1743.
          Son of Thomas Pingo (q.v.); appointed as assistant
          engraver on death of his father; served under chief
          engraver Richard Yeo, who he succeeded as chief
          engraver, at British Royal Mint, London, 1779-1815.
          Died London, 26 August 1779.
