AHLBORN, Lea (1826-1897) Swedish engraver, Stockholm Mint.
Born 1826. Daughter of Ludwig Persson Lundgren, engraver
at Royal Mint; she succeeded her father, 1853, as chief
engraver Swedish Royal Mint, not only one of Sweden’s
first female civil servants, but one of the longest, 44 years.
Awarded bronze medal at 1898 Exposition Universalle.
She died 31 March 1897.
