There are 30 categories of objects made by these artists. The artist's work is listed in one or more of these categories. Say the artist did both "U.S. Coins" and "Medals," the artist's works are listed under these headings.

1 Coin Series U.S. circulating coins with a continuity of related similar designs.
2 U.S. Coins Pieces struck for money in United States by U.S. Mints. (Pattern Coins to be added in the future). 3 World Coins Coins created in America for other countries or foreign coins with portraits of Americans, or of American themes. 4 Coin Replicas Legal copies of U.S. coins. 5 Bullion Items Coins, medals, ingots, rounds, all diestruck precious metal items in any form with or without a denomination, often with weight expressed, issued for precious metal content. 6 Reliefs Sculptural bas-relief plaques (smaller than 18 inches), models or patterns for any listed item, cast or struck. Note: All reliefs are cast; if item is diestruck it is found under Medals, if electrogalvano cast it is placed under Galvano Casts. 7 Decorations Medals hung from a ribbon drape, or intended to be worn. 8 Badge Series Badges of similar content issued periodically. 9 Badges Medallic items (over one inch) intended to be worn with fastener on reverse; it may be of several elements, it may or may not have a ribbon. [Under one inch is a pin, see #13.] 10 Campaign Items Medals issued for election campaigns. 11 Cast Medals Medallic work made by any metal casting method (except electrogalvanic casts, see #12) – including by the artist in his own studio, but usually foundry cast. 12 Galvano Casts Medallic items not struck but made by electrogalvanic casting. 13 Emblems & Charms Small medallic items intended (or not) to be worn; includes charms, pins, medalets, lapel buttons, all under one inch. 14 Medal Series Multiple medals with a continuity of theme, issued over time; or all at one time (then called a set) but included within this category. |
15 Medals Medallic pieces, includes plaquettes, medalets, medallions, all other medallic forms. Die-struck in contrast to cast medals.
16 List Medals Medals struck and sold by the U.S. Mint formerly promoted by publication of sales lists, hence the name. 17 Medallic Objects Art objects influenced by the medallic genre. 18 Mixed Media Medals Multiple exposed compositions (major composition must be metal). 19 Multiple-Part Medals Medals of more than one part. 20 Paperweights Intended for use on desktop (usually design only one side, some with 2 or 4 feet). 21 Plates Similar to dinner plates in size and shape. 22 Seals Emblematic medals of logo seals only. 23 Shell Medals Very thin embossed medallic items, single shells as Shell Reliefs, or two shells joined together for a two-sided medal, or fabricated, as Perpetual Calendars, Shell Mirrors, and such. 24 Tokens Diestruck pieces with a value expressed or implied. 25 Watchfobs & Key Fobs Diestruck fobs of all kinds with simple loop or wide band loop. 26 Replicas & Reissues A subsequent issue after original issue ceased; use of a previous work of art –or their dies – almost all medallic items struck after the death of the artist fall in this category. 27 Exomedallic Diestruck Nameplates, Belt Buckles, Buttons modeled by artists; cast Bookends, Ashtrays, Porcelain, Ceramic, or Glass Medals; machine-cut Ivory or Wood Medals; or other objects made by medallic companies, not strictly medallic (or not in any above categories).
