Auction House Listings

WE encourage auction houses to include the names of artists in their descriptions of numismatic items. This important data is useful for bidders, more so of medals than perhaps of coins.  It should be no secret there are buyers who assemble collections of one or more artists' creations.  Also if auction house officials wish to have their auction listings of American artists cited in this listing – printed catalogs only – they can do so by the following steps:

1  Choose a three-letter symbol for your auction house  that is not already in use;

2  Prepare a list of the artists and lot numbers (in format shown herein: symbol, auction number, colon, lot  number), this list can be in printout or in digital form;

3  Include a copy of the prices realized and identify the catalog;

4  Send to the compiler at dj@dickjohnsonsdatabank.com
"There has been no scholar better qualified to create 'the American Forrer' than Dick Johnson."
