American silversmith, New York City.
Born Switzerland, 12 June 1752. Came to America by
way of London as infant, 1754, later went to Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania, and, in 1769 returned to Switzerland.
Chief engraver at Bern Mint (1791-?).
Made his only American medal by casting & chasing.
Signed with n/york and dcf hallmarks.
