GETZ, Ephraim  ( ) Colonial American engraver.
           Kenney stated this artist may have been the engraver
           of the 1776 Continental Dollar signed EG (based on a
           reference in The Numismatist, June 1909). Breen states
           this was the EG signiture of Elisha Gallaudet (q.v.) and
           not Ephraim Getz.
